Loews Hotels & Co Names Stephen Cummings Senior Vice President of Operations for Hotel Portfolio at Universal Orlando Resort

  Accomplished hospitality leader returns to Orlando to oversee hotel operations at the world-class vacation destination – now offering 11 hotels with 11,000 guest rooms 

[ORLANDO, Fla] – September 3, 2026 – Loews Hotels & Co, co-owner and operator of the hotel portfolio at Universal Orlando Resort, announces the promotion of Stephen Cummings to senior vice president of operations for Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando. In this executive leadership role, Cummings will oversee operations and strategic direction for the expansive hotel portfolio at one of the world’s premier vacation destinations. 

A respected hospitality executive with nearly four decades of industry experience, Cummings returns to Orlando, where he held key leadership roles at multiple Loews properties from 2018 to 2023. Most recently, he served as the Complex Managing Director for Loews Arlington Hotel & Convention Center and Live! By Loews in Arlington, Texas. Under his leadership, both hotels achieved record-setting performance, exceptional guest satisfaction and strong team member recognition.

Initially beginning his hospitality career in the culinary arts, Cummings held several leadership roles as executive chef and executive sous chef for brands including Renaissance, Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis before being promoted into leadership roles at Loews Coronado Bay Resort, Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, and the Don CeSar Hotel.
