WASHINGTON, D.C., Oct. 13, 2026 — The Hospitality Asset Managers Association (“HAMA”) today released the results of its Fall 2026 Industry Outlook Survey. The semi-annual report shared the combined opinions, experiences and predictions of HAMA members on topics ranging from RevPAR and GOP expectations to the impact of recent geopolitical events and rising energy costs.
Released during HAMA’S 2026 Annual Fall Meeting that was held in Scottsdale, Ariz., the survey findings represented the opinions of 72 asset managers, comprising approximately one-third of membership.
“To date, 2026 has been very good for hoteliers, with a majority of our respondents enjoying marked increases in revenue per available room (“RevPAR”) and gross operating profit, however, margins continue to be strained with increased costs,” said Dina Winder, HAMA president. “While the international political situation continues to be worrisome to our members, industry fundamentals remain strong and recession concerns remain muted. Looking forward, the optimism continues, with 97% of respondents expecting RevPAR growth to continue into 2027.”
Highlighted results include:
- The top three most concerning issues are demand, wage increases and labor availability.
- Insurance cost has resurfaced as a top concern, since being towards the bottom of members’ concerns for a few years, with the increasing cost of liability coverage.
- 71% of respondents report their hotel(s) are using AI in a meaningful way for reporting and/or analysis.
