ABERDEEN, SD — May 6, 2026 — The Rivett Organization today announced that Brian Quinn has joined as chief development officer (CDO), a newly created leadership role responsible for advancing a unified growth strategy across its vertically integrated ecosystem of affiliated companies, led by its flagship brand, My Place Hotels of America.
With more than 25 years of experience, Quinn has led transformational growth across large-scale, multi-platform organizations, including some of the most recognized brands in the industry. He has held senior leadership roles at IHG, Hilton, Choice Hotels, and Sonesta International Hotels Corporation, where he was chief development officer. He has served as secretary/treasurer of the American Hotel & Lodging Association Foundation, currently advises Penn State’s School of Hospitality Management, and is a frequent speaker and panelist at major industry events.
As CDO, Quinn will advance strategic growth initiatives across The Rivett Organization’s affiliated companies spanning development, construction, and management while overseeing franchise expansion and development for My Place Hotels. This role brings these efforts under unified leadership, ensuring a disciplined approach to scaling the Rivett platform while preserving the guest experience and franchisee value that have defined the My Place brand since 2014.
“We have always been fortunate to align our growth with the right opportunities at the right time,” said Ryan Rivett, founder, president & CEO of The Rivett Organization and My Place Hotels. “Brian brings the experience, the relationships, and the discipline this moment requires, and I’m excited to have him leading growth across the entire organization. With Brian on board, we have a real opportunity to accelerate what we’ve built and shape what comes next.”
For My Place Hotels in particular, Quinn’s arrival comes at a pivotal moment. With more than 125 hotels in the pipeline and a foothold in 32 states, the brand is positioned to build on its momentum in an increasingly competitive extended-stay market — and Quinn’s leadership will help shape that next phase of growth.
“Extended stay continues to outperform the broader hotel industry. It is a model where the guest, the employee, and the owner all win when it’s executed with discipline,” Quinn said. “What’s rare is having both — a brand with real momentum in extended-stay, and a platform that can support every stage of growth from development through management. That’s a foundation to grow with intention and bring real value to franchisees in the years ahead.”
