Fowler will oversee operations for growing portfolio of 50+ dining venues across the U.S. 

DENVER, CO – May 7, 2024– Sage Hospitality Group announced today that Justin Fowler will be stepping into the role of Chief Operating Officer for Sage Restaurant Concepts (SRC), overseeing operations of Sage’s growing list of more than 50 restaurants, bars, cafes and venues in the SRC portfolio, effective June 1.

As COO of SRC, Fowler’s primary objective will be to enrich the lives of guests, associates, owner partners and communities, one restaurant and bar experience at a time. He will leverage the vast resources across Sage Hospitality’s Centers of Excellence in People and Culture, Commercial, Finance and IT, and will provide guidance and support to property teams whilst implementing strategies that deliver inspiring results, improve productivity and increase guest advocacy.   

An honoree on the list of “America’s Top 25 restaurant groups” by Nation’s Restaurant News, SRC also has an eye toward strategic growth, with Fowler playing an integral role. 

A tenured restauranteur, Fowler joins Sage from SBE Lifestyle Hospitality, where he held the role of COO. Before that, he spent more than 15 years at Starr Restaurants, serving most recently as VP of Operational Finance overseeing 38 restaurants, including well-loved brands such as Pastis, Buddakan and Le Coucou. During his tenure, he regularly served as a mentor to his restaurant General Managers, and established long-term operational budgets. Prior to that, Fowler worked as a Vice President of Operations for Jean Georges Management, where he oversaw operations, finance, marketing for five award-winning restaurants.
