King is an accomplished hospitality executive with extensive experience leading some of Ireland’s most prestigious luxury hotels and resort destinations. Over the course of his career, he has developed a strong reputation for operational excellence, commercial leadership, and delivering transformational growth across high-profile hospitality businesses.
Prior to joining Carton House, A Fairmont Managed Hotel, as General Manager, King spent time at Luttrellstown Castle Resort, first as General Manager, and later as CEO. During his tenure, he oversaw a significant period of transformation for the luxury estate, enhancing its reputation as one of Ireland’s leading hospitality destinations through strategic development, operational innovation, and elevated guest experiences.
Earlier in his career, King held senior leadership positions at The Shelbourne Dublin, Autograph Collection, where he played a key role during an important phase of growth and evolution, contributing as part of the leadership team that achieved the prestigious AA Red Star status.
In addition to his executive leadership roles, King is an active contributor to the wider hospitality industry within Ireland. He serves as a Board Director of the Irish Hospitality Institute, and is Chair of IHI RISE, a platform dedicated to supporting and developing emerging hospitality leaders.
As a widely respected presence in the industry, King is recognized for his people-focused leadership style, strategic vision, and passion for excellence in luxury hospitality.
