DALLAS, TEXAS, May 28, 2026 —Avion Hospitality today announced the promotion of two key executive leaders with Dan Peterson named chief operating officer and Nikita Tippie senior vice president of human resources.  The moves are designed to support Avion’s next phase of growth and continued commitment to people, performance and ownership support.

Dan Peterson

Peterson transitions from his previous role as senior vice president of operations. In his new position, he will oversee company-wide hotel operations, brand relationships, operational strategy and field leadership across Avion’s growing portfolio.  Since joining Avion, Peterson has played an instrumental role in shaping the company’s operational platform and strengthening relationships with ownership groups and brand partners.

“Dan has been an incredibly important part of Avion’s growth story,” said Robert Burg, CEO and president of Avion Hospitality. “He leads with humility, accountability and a deep understanding of what it takes to support both our hotels and our people. As we continue to evolve as an organization, Dan’s leadership, operational expertise and trusted relationships across the industry make him the right person to help lead Avion into its next chapter.”

Nikita Tippie

Tippie most recently served as vice president of human resources.  Since joining Avion, she has been a driving force behind the company’s people-first culture and organizational development efforts. Her leadership has helped strengthen employee engagement, talent development, communication and overall team member experience throughout the organization.

“Nikita has made a tremendous impact on our company and our culture,” Burg added.   “What sets Nikita apart is she has been a great business partner, along with her ability to be strategic in deploying and supporting our business initiatives.  She has been a trusted executive team member as we continue strengthening and expanding upon the culture we are building at Avion. She genuinely cares about people, leads with authenticity and has earned the trust and respect of our teams across the organization. As Avion grows, her leadership will be critical in ensuring we continue building an environment where our people feel supported, valued and empowered to succeed.”
