ORLANDO (June 25, 2018) –  Rosen Hotels & Resorts in Orlando announces the rebranding of its Red Roof Inn at International Drive hotel to the Midpointe Hotel, a Rosen Hotels & Resorts property.  The rebranding of the 134-room hotel coincides with its recently completed refurbishment.  Rosen acquired the former Red Roof Inn, along with the 222-room Clarion Inn & Suites at International Drive, late last year.

Both hotels are situated on land contiguous to one of the company’s current properties, the 1334-room Rosen Centre which features 150,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space connected to the Orange County Convention Center.

“With the phenomenal success of the International Drive area, the timing was right. The location next to Rosen Centre makes it quite convenient for our long-time trained hotel associates to expand their operations and assist in managing the properties,” said Harris Rosen, President & COO, Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “If the convention center expands, there would be an obvious need for more guestrooms contiguous to the Orange County Convention Center. It’s highly plausible that we may increase inventory to Rosen Centre and Rosen Plaza, both connected to the convention center. So in the next 4 or 5 years, it’s possible that our company will grow to more than 7,000 guestrooms and several years after that, close to 8,000 guestrooms.”

Midpointe Hotel’s new name signifies its prime location midway between Orlando’s famed tourist destinations and attractions. With 134 recently renovated, family-friendly guestrooms, it is an ideal central hub for an Orlando vacation, convention or business trip and is across from the Orange County Convention Center and a short stroll from all of International Drive’s shopping, dining and entertainment.  As a Destination Universal Hotel, Midpointe Hotel provides complimentary daily scheduled transportation (reservations required) to Universal Orlando Resorts™.  The hotel is just twelve minutes from the Orlando International Airport.  Guests always enjoy complimentary Wi-fi and never a resort fee.

Midpointe Hotel’s guestrooms now feature new upgrades including stylish patterned carpeting in muted gold tones complemented by soothing tan walls and bedding featuring new crisp white linens.  A new desk chair and new mini refrigerator are offered with numerous in-room amenities including 32-inch flat screen TVs.  Enhanced lush landscaping now surrounds the property, creating a natural, peaceful setting amid the vibrancy of International Drive.  An updated lobby and repaved parking lot complete the transformation.
